ParaNorman AU - Blind Sight - Prologue“What’s happening now?”
The familiar voice of Norman’s Grandmother rang through Norman’s ears, just above the screams and chomping noises in the direction of the television. Norman himself stayed in his spot just in front of the television, listening carefully for a moment before answering. “… The zombie’s… Eating her head?” he guessed. “You got it!” Grandma answered with a chuckle, continuing with her knitting from her spot on the couch. Norman let out his own chuckle, keeping his attention on the television’s sounds. “Norman…” he heard his dad groan out not too long after, along with the sound of the door to the kitchen squeaking open. “Didn’t I tell you to take out the garbage?” he wondered, his voice gruff and annoyed. “Yeah, coming dad!” Norman called back as he carefully got to his feet. He turned in the direction of the kitchen, which he had learned to
Ombre's Story - PrologueNever had there been a solar eclipse this dark before.
People on the streets of the small town carried around flashlights just to see in front of them, the streetlights barely making the town seem any brighter. Many people made up reasons for the darkness; that it was a punishment for something they had done, that it was an omen for something terrible to come… Of course, this happened to be the day that Sheila Nighthawk had her child.
Her husband, Charlie, was pacing outside of the bedroom impatiently. It was too dark out to drive, and rushing a woman who’s in the middle of having a baby to the hospital on foot isn’t exactly the best idea ever, so they had to do things the old-fashioned way and call someone over to deliver the baby at their own home. The man let out a long sigh of worry, running a hand through his light brown hair in an attempt to calm himself as he slowed to a stop, stealing a glance at the door once more. It had quieted down… Was it done? Wa
ParaNorman - Howling At The Moon - Chapter 7Lumarelle had suggested to everyone after the howl that they wait back at the hideout for the sun to come up, so someone wouldn’t see them change back to normal or anything. Norman, as worried as he was about Courtney or his parents finding out that he was gone, heeded her warning and stayed with the other werewolves for the remainder of the night. Once he saw sunlight leaking in from the entrance, however, he quickly bid farewell to everyone and rushed out. He hid in the trees for a short moment as he changed back to normal, slightly shocked that it didn’t hurt all that much. He hadn’t actually been awake while changing back before, and considering how much changing to his wolf form hurt, he was expecting a fair amount of pain for reverting as well. It still felt strange, of course. But he didn’t have time to ponder on this for long. He had to get back home. He rushed back as fast as he could, not actually all too shocked to see that he was a lot faster than he
ParaNorman - Alternate (Bad) EndingNorman Babcock didn’t know what to do. Here he was, at the town hall, protecting the same zombie puritans behind him that he had earlier thought were going to eat him – which, he recently learned, was in fact a mistake – from the angry mob that the town had created, everyone swinging torches and multiple household items that they were using as weapons around in the air, their angry screams completely droning out Norman’s protests. They didn’t understand… This was what the witch wanted.
“He’s in league with them!!”
“Let’s hang him!!”
“We can’t hang him, stupid! It’s the twenty-first century!”
“Then let’s BURN HIM!!”
Norman barely heard his mother yell at the crowd in annoyance (“Can you stop being a mob for just ONE MINUTE?!”) as he felt his fear bubble up. They couldn’t do this…! “Just listen to me!!” he begged desp
ParaNorman - Ghostly Universes - Chapter 3“This is bad… This can’t be happening…”
Ombre paced back and forth, biting his lip nervously, Demar and Courtney watching him with unimpressed expressions from the couch. Sheera was pacing as well, though Neil seemed to be handling the situation a little better. His panic and worry was clear as day on his face, but he had simply gone into a shocked silence, sitting next to Courtney and staring at the floor as he took in their newfound information the best he could. “You think it’s bad? Try living through it for three hundred years.” Demar groaned in response to Ombre’s rambling, his head lifting up slightly from where it had been resting on his clawed hand. “I can’t believe this… I-it’s just… Not like the Norman we know!!” Sheera exclaimed, rubbing the bridge of her nose in an attempt to calm the oncoming headache she was getting. “It’s not like the Norman we knew eit
PN/DP - Shock Of Hatred - Chapter 2Danny met up with Sam and Tucker as fast as he could after he made a stop at his house, returning Desiree to the Ghost Zone. The whole time, he couldn’t get that kid off of his mind. There was something about him… Something different. He had been able to get a hold on Danny even when he was intangible. That, and when he was giving the teen that ‘stare’ of his, his eyes had begun to glow a greenish-red for a short moment. That was probably what scared Danny the most. He explained everything to Sam and Tucker when he found them in the fast food restaurant, and both seemed intrigued.
“Does he seem dangerous…?” Sam asked curiously, now only picking at the salad she ordered with her fork. “I can’t tell… I mean, don’t get me wrong, he seems like a good kid and all, but… I-I dunno, it’s just something about him…” Danny trailed off, thinking back to the scene yet again. “Maybe you should
PN/DP - Shock Of Hatred - Chapter 1Everything was flashing bright shades of red and yellow. Norman felt… Big. His head was pounding like no tomorrow. He could barely hear a desperate, unfamiliar voice, but he wasn’t sure where it was coming from. “Stop!!” it yelled desperately. A bright streak of yellow flashed in from of Norman, and he heard a shout of pain. He didn’t even flinch. “WHY WON’T YOU JUST STOP?!?!” the voice screamed even louder, sounding strained. Norman wanted to yell out to it, make sure that this person was alright… But that wasn’t what came out. “LEAVE ME ALONE!!!” were the words that were spat out of his mouth. Wait!! No, that’s not what I meant!! the boy thought desperately, praying that this voice would somehow hear his thoughts loud and clear. “No!! Not until you STOP!!” the voice responded. This time, nothing came from Norman’s lips when he tried to speak up
PN/DP - Shock Of Hatred - PrologueNorman let out a slightly-annoyed huff as he shut his suitcase, his father’s calls for him to hurry up getting aggravating to the medium quite quickly. “I’m coming!!” Norman yelled back for the umpteenth time, trying his best not to let any anger slip into his voice as he lugged the suitcase off his bed, grunting slightly. He looked over at his Grandma for a moment. “You sure you aren’t gonna get bored or anything without me around?” he wondered with a slight smirk. She had been joking about how things would be quiet around without Norman getting himself into trouble all the time; he had already gotten himself turned into a werewolf, became a psychopath and had been dragged off into another world with Coraline (whom he had been keeping contact with, mind you), not to mention the incident with Aggie, all within a span of a few mere months. Added to that, Norman had been having some… Troubles, lately. He’d get mad and a light

Courtney definitely noticed the change in how Norman acted. He was silent a lot more often, usually appearing to be spaced out or distracted by something. To make matters worse, he showed literally no emotion anymore, which concerned Courtney majorly. She figured it must’ve had something to do with what was happening lately… None of it really made any sense, however. Asking Norman was useless, because he never gave her a straight answer. He’d always say some kind of riddle or puzzle, or sometimes he’d just avoid the topic in whole by either changing the subject or simply leaving the room. One day, he actually surprised her with his response.
“Please stop asking me.” he requested. Courtney blinked, raising an eyebrow. “Why?” “Because… It’s getting hard not to tell you… And he said that he’d hurt me and you if you found out what’s happening…” Norman explained.
Vanguard, Chapter 1: DuncanDuncan's Journal: Day 1288
I consider myself a good man. I respect women, elders, my equals, and the dead. I say a morning prayer, and an evening one. Hell, I even thank the gods for a meal, instead of immediately chowing down in the voracious manner as the other soldiers here do. By all logical means, I should be in paradise. No really, not just because I'm a good man, but also because I should be dead by now. So I ask myself: why, oh gods up there, have I ended up in hell?
1288 days. 1288 days of my life have been spent in this misery, and I'm beginning to lose faith in the glory I was promised. Some of the rookies still live in their ignorant bliss, but I've lived long enough to realize that there's not much glory to find here. “Sing the songs of glory and march into battle—-join The Crusade today!”. Such were the words of the posters The Crusade has spread all over The Mortal Realm. Gullible fools practically stand in line for these songs of glory that th
Last of my Kind [Prologue]
How could someone sum up [Male!Names] relation with all the nations? In simple terms one could say he had good relations with all of them. Being one of the oldest beings in existence since the Nations had come to life he had been there for all of them. He had comforted them when any of them were hurt, he had been there when wars had begun, when wars had ended. He had been there to comfort Nations when they had forcefully been split.
He was more than just a kind person. He was a great being. He never even thought of himself, he always put them before him. For example when he himself had been badly injured, he had still comforted the Germany Brothers when they had been apart. He had always been there, and nobody even knew much about him. It was obvious that he must have been a nation himself, but they wondered which nation. There surely were a few Nations they had overlooked over the centuries, but which one was this certain [h/c] man?
It was a question nobody dared to ask him. Of course
Fate's Desire Chapter 1 (GT) Running...how long had she been running?
Arie felt like she was in a perpetual frenzy. A cold sweat had formed on her neck and forehead. Her breathing was getting heavy. She continuously glanced in all directions as she ran, practically gliding through the thick forest. Moon light crept through the inconsistent tree branches and leaves above her. Her body was illuminated temporarily when meeting these small rays of light; other than that, however, she was in total darkness. Even though her heart raced and her mind was overwhelmed with thoughts, her light green eyes maintained a determined look.
She would survive, no matter what.
But she also knew that her body couldn't do this forever. She was in pretty good shape, but Arie knew she had been in a constant sprint for at least 10 minutes. She slowed her pace and looked in the direction she came. Not noticing anything peculiar, she continued forward. After about
Sky's past is back to get him. Chap 1.His life was easier as a child you might say. But if you knew his child-hood. You would feel for him. That's why that's where I'm going to start. I'm Phinalyna Deadcraft and I blame my self for what's now happening.......
"Father, I don't want to kill people." My father, Herobrine, turned around eying me. I was shaking. I never told him I didn't want to do what he wanted me to do. "Are you disrespecting me boy? Your just like your mother!" I golped. I made him mad, again. He turned around and held me in the air by my neak. "P...please father.... It's... not right." "Your a brine. You will start acting like one!" He smiled at me his white eyes dug a hole through mine. "You know what. I remembered it's birthday. Happy 13th birthday Skybrine." He let me go, and I fell to the floor coughing. He remembered. Why? "As a punishment for doing that and for your coming of age as a Brine. I'm making you the Squid Brine of the family. If you can't act like a brine is supposed to then y
Fate's Desire Chapter 2 (GT)Jean had been strolling through the forest surrounding glen nearby his cabin. It was a crisp, sunny autumn day, and he felt the need to take it all in. Walking around, he looked up and saw birds tending to their nests in the trees. Moving his gaze down, however, he spotted something…peculiar lying on one of the tree branches. He walked towards the tree to get a better look. On one of the lower branches, he saw what looked like…a human?! Getting closer, his face was level with the branch. It was a girl, who appeared to be asleep on the branch. Jean was fixated on her. This was the first time he had ever seen a human. Why was she here, of all places?
To his shock, she opened her eyes, which accompanied by her face, slowly turned to face him. They immediately widened. He was unsure of what to do. He realized that he was probably too close for her comfort, but his curiosity got the better of him.

Fate's Desire Chapter 3 (GT)The kettle whistled on the stove top, signaling to Jean that the tea was ready. He had been shifting through the kitchen cupboards, trying to find anything remotely adequate to serve tea in for his human guest. He eventually found a random thimble in one of the cupboards and decided that was his best option. He picked it up, cleaned it with a washcloth and brought it next to the stove; placing it upside down on the counter, he carefully filled the small container with hot tea, and then poured into a cup for himself. Putting the kettle back on the stove, Jean slowly brought the thimble to the desk and sat in front of his silent guest. The girl didn't acknowledge his presence; she was still sitting on her knees. While the tears were gone, her face was now emotionless, her eyes empty. Not wanting to stare, he turned around to get his cup.
He was still uncertain as to what would transpire next; after starring into each others eyes and either one no
Logan's Adventures on The Polar Express Chapter 1
*Snow. Falling down through a black winter's night with so much grace that it gives just a hint of magic. On this particular winter's eve, in a quiet little suburb town, amidst the snow covered streets and the several bits of pine along each house, there was one particular home where a young boy lays asleep in his bed. All was quiet inside his home, as the boy slept so peacefully under the sheets decorated in the form of America's symbol. A seemingly normal young boy, on this one peculiar night that changes everything*
Narrator: On Christmas eve, many years ago, I lay quietly in my bed. I did not rustle the sheets; I breathed slowly and silently. I was listening for a sound I was afraid I'd never hear. The ringing bells of Santa's sleigh…
*Sleigh bells. The jingle, jangle of such melodious bells drew the boy wide awake. Peering to the side, he slowly rose from the bed and approached the frost-covered window. The boy hissed when he got too close to the heater, so he sto
Felarya: Anko's Secret ( V )Chapter 5 – Humans are gross!
The sounds of a new peaceful morning where floating through the picturesque scenery of an old weathered shrine at the riparian of a large silent placid lake. The water did not ripple the slightest, but a nice balmy breeze where caressing the grass and woodland around the area. There was nothing unusual which had not already been there for several generations, except a huge bluish creature that lay across, nearly covering up a third of the shrine’s outer extent. An attentive observer would also notice a small dot aside the massive creature that resembles a normal sized human figure of about 5 feet height – rather minuscule compared to the giant creature that showed its broad back. An ominous rumble broke the silence as the giant bluish creature began to turn its body around while still sleeping with amicable face. After turning half way an at least 60 feet long arm slithered sideways over the giant body and crushed down on the groun
ParaNorman - A Witch's Curse - Preview"Neil, we've been going around for hours. It was probably just you're imagination getting the best of you!"
"N-no I definitely saw something!"
Norman rolled his eyes, groaning in annoyance as he continued to follow Neil around the forest. He had called Norman up frantically, claiming to have seen something near the forest that looked like something the Witch would conjure up. Though Norman had a feeling it was just something he had done with his new-found powers by accident, he didn't bother suggesting that to him. After all, that would've involved telling Neil about having the Witch's powers, and right now Norman didn't feel safe telling anyone yet. Not even his parents knew about it. The only person that did know was Courtney, but that was only because she was there when he found out about it. She had promised not to tell anyone as well, and so far she had kept that promise, which surprised Norman a little. After all, his sister was into gossip, but he didn't bother putting too
